Practice Making Inferences with The Memory String

This is an ideal book for supporting readers who are working to make inferences. Most students haven’t experienced the loss of a parent; therefore, they will have to use cues from the text and illustrations to infer the emotions of the characters in this book.

The Memory String is a Guided Reading Level N, which is a third-grade reading level. As a result, this resource set has been aligned to the third grade Common Core State Standards and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.

This resource set can be used for whole group instruction to model how to ask questions while reading and for small group instruction to support students reading at or above a Guided Reading Level N.
