Making Paper Footballs Challenge

Materials Needed: (per person)

- assorted pieces of paper (copy, construction, cardstock)

- scissors and tape

- ruler

STEM Challenges are a way to get your kids thinking and building at the same time! These challenges use minimal materials and can be used as a way to improve your students’ communication and building skills in individual and team challenges. There are really fun, but challenging projects. Choosing the best type of papers for your launching technique can be a challenge! We do this the first couple of weeks of school and do this challenge in teams! It is always fun to bring a connection of unusual topics and STEM engineering challenges inside the classroom! The kids can learn a lot about engineering through these hands-on learning and experiences!

This challenge will be part of a bundle of three related STEM challenges using paper footballs!
