Description

These 25 short passage cards will help students practice making predictions. Each card asks students to provide evidence for their thinking. These cards have two different rigor levels (multiple choice and extended response) to help build student understanding. Student answer sheets and an answer key in included. These task cards work well for reading centers, partner pair work, formative assessments, or even as a whole class using an online game center like Kahoot!

Have disengaged students? An optional storyline that allows students to earn "monsters" with each correct answer to defeat the evil Stenchsoul can be incorporated into the activity. These monsters have unique superpowers that will keep the students interested in each skill card! This helps engage students in learning.

This gives teachers the added option of delivering distance learning materials to students. Both Google Forms and Boom Cards are available formats and easily integrate into Learning Management platforms such as Google Classrooms, Schoology, and Canvas. This option also includes the paper and pencil version to equip teachers with the ultimate delivery opportunity.

The little stories were short and sweet which I liked. My class enjoyed doing these. I did wish they were on google slides. I had to snip them from google forms and put them on to slides.
