Description

Let your students be the architects! Students are tasked with redesigning their classroom and daily schedule. In order to redesign the room, students will work togetehr to create blueprints, acquire measurements, and find the area/perimeter of their classroom and classroom furniture. Your students can make a difference in their school and this project provides an opportunity for them to present a possible change in their schedule or classroom using internet resources. (Internet access not needed for this project- alternative ideas inlcuded.)

Geometry and Measurement come together in this interactice Project Based Learning Unit.

Includes: Teacher Guide, Know/Need to Know list example, next steps example, and graph paper blueprints, and student created rubric example.

Very detailed instructions, but some parts of the project have to be teacher-created. There isn't a lot of directions that are in student-friendly language.
