Description

History and How to Use:

This resource was originally made as a guided math center to help my students understand different ways to make the number 10. The cards are laminated in sets and hole punched in the corner to keep them together as a set. I have the students use the frog manipulatives to fill in the missing part of the tens frame. Initially we start with just the set with just the number bond (pages 10-13). Then we use the set that is similar to the first set but has an addition sentence (pages 3-6). Finally, we use the set that has the first number blank and the second number filled in (pages 6-10). It gets progressively harder. As always, we teach in the gradual release model for each set. (I do, we do, you do).

Page Contents:

· pages 3-6: Missing second number with addition sentence

· pages 6-10: Missing first number with addition sentence

· page 10-13: Missing second number without addition sentence.
