Description

I created this to guide my students when in my Work on Writing Center. I felt my students needed a bit of guidance in writing while I was in reading groups.

I like to print multiple copies of 2 different prompts and place in my Work on Writing Center. I have included a back page to each prompt in case your students need some extra writing space. At the bottom of the second page of each prompt, I have also included a blank space for student illustrations and a cover page. You may wish to staple the pages together for a monthly journal.

Students should follow the directions on each page. Students need to include a title, date, topic sentence, 4 or more descriptive sentences, and a closing sentence. Of course, I found it best to model what a sample page should look like. I have also found success in laminating and posting the sample piece at my Work on Writing Station for student reference. Enjoy!

I'd love for you to follow me on Teachers Pay Teachers so you are notified when my new products are released at 50% off for the first 48 hours of being posted. I also invite you to stop by my store and check out my other popular items including a variety of genre based lap books and science lap books.

If you found this product helpful, check back in my store for my January Journal Pack Freebie and other monthly journal packs! :)
