Welcome to FUNctional OT cooking! My students look forward to our weekly cooking sessions which focus on the fine motor, sensory, and functional processes of cooking. With the picture recipe, students also work on number identification (numbers 1-4), left to right tracking/pre-reading skills, and emergent reading and sight words. At the end of group, students are given the opportunity to identify whether they enjoyed the cooking treat and write or stamp their name on the recipe to bring home.
This file includes a picture schedule recipe for 3 March themed cooking groups using Boardmaker picture symbols. The cooking boards included in this set are: Green Eggs and Ham, Leprechaun's Pot of Gold, and Shamrock Shakes. Also included: overall cooking group directions, a general cooking supply list, and individual group supply lists for each of the recipes.
