Description

Social emotional learning is a vital aspect of overall student success. Teaching students about emotions is a great way to incorporate social emotional learning. These basic skills task boxes teaches emotions through matching.

There are seven levels represented including:

Errorless picture matching

Matching picture to picture

Matching non-identical pictures

Errorless picture to word matching

Matching picture to word

Tracing emotion words

Writing emotion words

A total of 560 task cards are included

This would be great to use when working on specific IEP goals.

It would also be great to incorporate into centers or stations for special education or early learners.

Students can use clothes pins to select the correct option thus incorporating fine motor skills or you can use Velcro, mini errors, dot markers, etc for students to use with this activity.

I didn't need to use all the errorless learning parts with my students, so I cannot speak to those as much. I bought these for the "writing the emotion" task cards, and I really enjoyed using them with my students! I also have a jungle theme in my classroom which made the jungle animal emotions even more enjoyable.
