Make math fun with this matching card game. It can be used for reviewing or evaluating specific skills. It can also be used as an activating strategy or simply use it on a game day. The game takes approximately 20 minutes or less to play and is quick and easy to grade.
Print the worksheet. Make copies of the worksheet so each student or pair of students can play the game. Keep a copy of the original as your answer key. Card stock is recommended. Card stock will increase the durability of the cards and make them easier to use. Cut the cards apart and save each set of cards in an envelope. Students can work individually or in pairs to play the game. When the game is finished, the reconstructed puzzle will look like the original.
Students should orient the cards so the card descriptions are all on the bottom of the card. Each card contains problems and answers around the edge of the card. The students will match the problem on one card to the correct answer on another card. Keep a copy of the original worksheet. To check to see if the cards have been matched correctly, simply have the student record the letter in the center of the cards on my free Matching Game Recording sheet and check to see if the letters are in the same order as the original worksheet. The letters in the center of the cards do not make a word or a saying. They are truly random letters.
This worksheet is not editable and I do not share the template. PLEASE email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like me to create game sets that are not posted yet.
