In 2nd grade I used this powerpoint to help prepare my students to recognize similar sounds in words when the letter combinations didn't match. This is a difficult concept for students, as they often look for the same letters and almost automatically choose matching letters, rather than matching sounds. GREAT PRACTICE BEFORE TESTING!
