This is the 2nd lesson video in a series of lesson videos for Unit 5 - Polynomials and Factoring that is part of the Math 1 curriculum.

In this video, I review the basic concepts and solution steps for Adding and Subtracting Polynomials which are part of the Math 1 curriculum. The following specific topics associated with Adding and Subtracting Polynomials are reviewed/covered in this video lesson:

3. Combining Like Terms

4. Adding and Subtracting Polynomial Example Problems

The first 6 slides of the video lesson address Item 1 above which was also covered in Lesson 1. The following 3 slides address the topics listed under Item 2 above and the subsequent 4 slides review the concept and conditions for Combining Like Terms. The final 4 slides include four (4) separate example work problems involving the Adding and Subtracting Polynomials.

In addition, there is one (1) worksheet referenced at the end of the video lesson for the students to complete. This student worksheet is included with the video lesson package along with the teacher answer key for it. Answers to each of the video lesson problems and for those separate worksheet problems are included with this product.

This lesson is primarily geared towards 8th grade, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Math 1, Math 2 and Math 3 students and is the second lesson in a series on the topic of Polynomials and Factoring.

Multiple examples are worked in detail to demonstrate to the students the steps required to add and subtract Polynomials are provided in the lesson.
