This MS Word file is a Math 3 Assessment / Practice Test for:

• Unit 1 - Functions and Their Inverses

It consists of eleven (11) questions. I used to use this document as my assessment for Unit 1 for my Math 3 classes. It is really a Math 3 / Algebra 2 review unit that I try to complete prior to actually implementing the school district's Math 3 curriculum. It helps me determine what students know and don't know.

Since I now use an online program for all of my math assessments, I use this document as a practice test the day before I give any related online assessment.

It is fourteen (14) pages in length, including the Teacher Answer Key, and can easily be completed during one class period. I have included the native MS Word file so that the teacher can edit/modify the assessment/practice test as desired to suit their unit content and teaching methods. The assessment/practice test covers the following topics:

• General Vocabulary
• Solving Absolute Value Functions
• Solving Quadratic Functions
• Solving Piecewise Functions
• Matching Functions Exercise
• Solving Inverse Functions
• Solving and Graphing Compound Inequalities
• Converting Standard Form to Vertex Form for Quadratic Equations

A solution answer key for the teacher is also included for each problem.
