Description

No matter how many times you go over something in class, when students are asked to complete something independently, either as homework or center work (when you are busy at the teacher table), it can become a bit of a struggle. You hear things like, "I don't know how to do it", "I don't remember what we were supposed to do", or my favorite, "The teacher didn't teach us this."

YOUR PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED! Now students will have a Math Assistant that they can rely on to help guide them through the problem when you are not there.

In this product students are practicing 4 subtraction (within 1,000) strategies; base ten, decomposing (or break apart method), number line, and algorithm. Each strategy introduction worksheet comes with a QR code that takes the students directly to a Tutorial VIDEO. This video, which can easily be paused, allows students to take notes or refresh their minds in order to help them figure out a similar question using the same strategy.

At home, some student do not have homework support. This is a great tool to be able to support your students at home. It is also beneficial for families because some of the strategies we teach today look different from how they've learned it. Now families can see first hand how and what their student is learning in class!

In the classroom, this can easily be placed at one of your centers. I have included separate sheets for each of the 4 QR codes that can be displayed at your center. Students can easily scan the code (with an iPad) they need. Each code is labeled with the strategy name.

Blank pages are also available for you to write your own subtraction equations.
