Description
Need some online or projectable manipulatives for addition and subtraction problems? These files are 10 and 20-frame (double 10 frame) templates that you will add your own addition and subtraction problems to. You, or your students, drag pre-made counters to the frames to help them visualize the numbers they are working with. You might choose to add specific problems ahead of time, or you could write them in on the fly as you work with students. To use these files, you will need a Google account.
There are 3 files included:
- a 10-frame, with 28 slides each with a pair of colorful counters
- a 10-frame, with 23 holiday-themed sets of counters
- a 20-frame (double 10 frame), with 10 slides, each with a different set of colorful counters.
Each 10 frame template has a stack of 10 of each counter ready to drag. Each 20 frame template has a stack of 20 of each counter ready to drag to the frame.
There are many ways to use these files! You could use them on an interactive whiteboard, or you could share the file with students. Students can each have their own copy, or the activity can be collaborative if they are given shared access to the file. Having the drag and drop counters ready to go saves both teachers and students time. Duplicate the slides as many times as you need to before sharing with students, or have the students use the 'undo' button to remove work they've done on one problem before moving on to another one.
These files were originally created in Jamboard, which was no longer usable after September 2024. The updated Slides files have more counters and should load faster than the original Jamboards did.
