Description

This set includes eight center activities.

The first center option is number or letter identification using shapes.

The second center option is 2D or 3D shape identification using letters A-J.

The third center is true or false addition without regrouping using numbers 1-10.

The fourth center is true or false subtraction without regrouping using numbers 11-20.

The fifth center is true or false mixed addition and subtraction without regrouping using numbers 21-30.

The sixth center is true or false addition with and without regrouping using numbers 31-40.

The seventh center is true or false subtraction with and without regrouping using numbers 41-50.

The eighth center is true or false mixed addition and subtraction with and without regrouping using numbers 51-60.

Different equations are used for each true or false center.

Center cards can be laminated for durability and repeated use.

Black and white options are included for both center cards and recording sheets.

Directions: Students will pick a card and identify if it is a letter or number, 2D or 3D shape, or if the math equation is true or false. Then students will match the shape, letter, or number in the corner of the card to their recording sheet and record their answer. On color copies, students will mark their answer with an X and on the black and white copies, students will color in the correct gumball. You can extend the true and false centers by having students correct the false answers on the back of their worksheets.

As a consultant for MTSS in a district I thought this center building resource provided a great hands-on activity that would be easy to assemble. The flexibility of using as a file folder activities at home or with a teacher via Zoom make this perfect for many uses. I especially like that is not just another worksheet is excellent!
