Description

Students need to practice their math facts daily in order to keep them fresh in their minds. I use them with the calculators our county purchased for us. The students program the calculator with whichever operation they are practicing, then they are given one minute to
answer as many facts as they can. They fill in the bar graph with the number of correct answers. On Fridays, I choose an operation and the students go until they get 30 correct answers. The first person to get there is the
¢ï¿½ï¿½champion¢ï¿½ï¿½ and gets to sign their name on the poster. Each student can only sign each poster twice; after that they are trying to see how far past 30 they can get before another student gets there.
The charts can also be used with flash cards or other ways of drilling math facts in a given time period.
