Math Enrichment Series - Math Meets Nature: Applying Math through Gardening.
Share

Description

Newly Developed Elementary Math Enrichment Series for grades 2-5 by Garden Club Lessons. Using an interdisciplinary approach to teaching, these questions were developed to allow elementary students to see how math can be used and is present in everyday life situations such as gardening and nature. Perfect to use as an enrichment activity for those students "looking for more" to extend their learning. The questions were developed to match Garden Club Lessons offered over the last 12 years via an elementary garden club. They can be used in a contained classroom, or for enrichment groups, TAG students, outdoor classrooms, or nature clubs addressing topics similar to the questions posed. An answer key is provided and children are encouraged to show the methods they used to find the solutions. There are ten, multi-part questions to this volume.
