This Essential Standards Tracker is a Google Sheets–based tool designed to help K-8th grade teachers monitor student math performance by essential standard and sub-skill using simple proficiency levels and automatic visual summaries.

Enter student results once, and the tracker does the rest.

What This Tracker Does

This resource allows you to:

  • Track student mastery by math essential standard
  • Break standards into specific sub-skills
  • Instantly see class-wide proficiency trends
  • Use data to guide instruction, intervention, and PLC conversations

All calculations and visuals update automatically. No formulas. No setup.

How It Works

  • Each column represents one essential standard sub skill
  • Track up to four sub-skills per standard
  • Enter student results using a simple dropdown:
    • Proficient
    • Progressing
    • Struggling
  • Automatic percentages show class performance
  • Built-in visual snapshots provide a quick at-a-glance summary for each standard

Empty standards remain blank until data is entered.
