This bundle combines the foundational math skills that students need to be fluent in addition and multiplication facts. These resources focus on strategies and helping students to understand the facts, not just memorize them. If they understand them, then the other operations of subtraction and division will make more sense!
Mental Math Addition Strategies
These are strategies that I teach my students to help them to become more confident mathematicians.Too often they resort to finger counting as their only method to produce the sum to an addition problem.Giving them strategies and helping them to learn to be flexible in their thinking gives students a strong foundation for all of the operations that follow addition. It’s a great resource to share with parents so that they can help reinforce the fact strategies at home!
