Description

Rainbow Math is a routine designed to help students practice their math facts and gain automaticity with facts. Grouped in sets of 10 flash cards at a time, students add on additional facts as each level is mastered (each level is a new color). The flash cards are put on a ring so your student can easily flip through their facts for practice (at home and at school). Students are motivated to practice and learn their facts so they can add all the colors of the rainbow to their ring.

Included in this packet:

-Flash cards for each level (that you will print on colored paper)

-Flash cards typed in colored ink (if you'd rather copy on white paper vs. colored paper)

-A quiz for each level

-Parent letter to explain Rainbow Math

-Awards for each level passed and an award given at the end

-Data sheets for you to use to keep track of progress

-Detailed directions on how the routine works

This is a perfect tool for my students to learn their math facts. Each student works through them at their own pace. I give them a test once a week. If they pass, they move on to the next number. If they don't pass, they keep working on the current one. I have the kids cut out the flash cards, then I put them on a ring. They love collecting them as they go, especially since each number is a different color.
