Math Football is a rich board game for practicing math skills. Students at different levels of readiness can play with each other and still be challenged at their "just right" level.

Perfect as a math center, Math Football is designed to play like a full-fledged board game, with strategic decision-making and suspenseful dice-rolls. For your students, the rigorous math work will just be icing on the cake!

How does it work?

Students pick from one of the many "play books" based on the concepts that they want to practice. They then make strategic decisions that drive the game forward. To make bigger plays, you must answer tougher problems.

Students who are working at different levels in math can play together. Each player solves problems that are right for them, or players work in teams to support each other with tougher problems.

Right now, there are playbooks for at the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade level, and they include these concepts:

• Mental Math (Addition & Subtraction)
• Multiplication
• Division
• Decimals
• A blank playbook template which you can use to add other concepts, or tailor problems for your own group.
