Description

As a teacher, I do not want to "teach to the test," but I find that it is sometimes the vocabulary, wording, and/or format of the questions that trip up my third graders. These task cards are a fun way to help them practice the types of math questions they will find in Eureka Module 1 and on the benchmark test.

This is a fun way to easily practice the format of the testing. These task cards are Common Core aligned using the same vocabulary and phrasing as Eureka math!

There are so many ways to use task cards in your classroom and they can be used year-to-year.

Practice Task Card Set includes:

• 18 Task Cards

• Answer Key

• Student Recording Sheet

Common Core Aligned

I like to print the cards on cardstock or oak tag and then cut and laminate them. This helps with being able to use them year after year. I use these as a whole class “Scoot” type activity. I also love to pull a few to have students work on individually or in a small group. These are also great for math center time. Sometimes I also like to pull a handful for my fast finishers.

This was great for a Eureka Module 1 math review for 3rd grade. It isn't from Eureka Squared, which a lot of people have now, but most of it was still aligned.

Interpret products of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 5 × 7 as the total number of objects in 5 groups of 7 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a total number of objects can be expressed as 5 × 7.
Interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 56 ÷ 8 as the number of objects in each share when 56 objects are partitioned equally into 8 shares, or as a number of shares when 56 objects are partitioned into equal shares of 8 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a number of shares or a number of groups can be expressed as 56 ÷ 8.
