Checking in daily math homework can be a daunting job!
This self checking system for students, allows the time for them to review homework, check for accuracy, and ask clarifying questions.
Weekly, students begin a new sheet. Each homework assignment is checked and corrections that need to made are recorded.
Other additions to this weekly check in:
Have students make weekly goals
Get to know your students by including “Did you know…” giving them the opportunity to tell you something about themselves!
Allows for opportunities to communicate in a non confrontational way.
