If the purpose of homework is to review and reinforce and you know that every student has different needs, your homework needs to have some flexibility. That was the thinking behind my homework this year. TWENTY MIN Homework is a homework system that allows your students to choose the activity from a menu that fits their needs.

This could be your year-long homework assignment. I am planning on using it, but I will have to continually update my choices. I am only charging $2.00 because it is a simple document. If you purchase this and have good ideas for the menu, add it to your review and I'll add mine.

I wanted my students to work where they are challenged, practice to the point of mastery, and the have some fun with math. In class, this will take some practice in having a growth mindset, reflective learning, and awareness.

Here is my list of TO DOs:
-Communicate with parents (I am including a parent letter)

-Set up a weekly or monthly menu (I am including some my sample menu, a blank template, and some ideas). You will have to adapt the to your needs. :)

-Send home a weekly homework sheet where students will document their learning. I am including a ONE PAGE and TWO PAGE version depending on how much work space you want for your students.

-Hold kids accountable (I am including a recording sheet for grading).
