Math Key Word Sort Digital Activity
Share

Description

This product is a Google Slides digital activity for students which has them look at 20 math key words and sort them in a table based on whether that keyword is telling them to use multiplication, division, addition, or subtraction as the operation. Students will be able to click on the words and drag them to the spot in the table they believe is correct. The first slide shows student facing directions, so it is perfect for any class structure. The third slide consists of the answer key. The slide deck is editable to you as the teacher to do as you wish with the answer key. I have posted the key into work time when students think they are complete to check their answers. This works great as either independent or as group work!

**Note: Make sure when assigning or sharing this with students to allow them to be "editors!"

This is pricey for only being 3 slides long. I would recommend either lowering your price point or adding some practice problems. I assumed it had practice problems because it said "word problems" and "test practice". I would not have purchased this activity if I had realized it was only a key word sort.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to review my product, I am sorry you felt misled, however the following description was included on the product to ensure there is no confusion on what the product itself is, additionally the title which stated "Key Word Sort." "Students will be able to click on the words and drag them to the spot in the table they believe is correct. The first slide shows student facing directions, so it is perfect for any class structure. The third slide consists of the answer key. The slide deck is editable to you as the teacher to do as you wish with the answer key." I additionally included in the description that it is 3 slides long. As for it stating "word problems," this is a fundamental skill and first step to even begin to approach solving word problems, as I am sure we would all agree! This absolutely can be used with other resources such as practice problems. The price point is based on value of the activity in my opinion as the creator, allowing for meaningful conversation and learning by discovery. That being said, I will absolutely take your suggestion into consideration. Have a great day!
