Please join me in my complete and total enthusiasm over my lab
INVESTIGATING TESSELLATIONS!
* The Lab is broken into two primary sections: Part I and Part II
* There is an optional research extension to the Lab, as well.
* In part I, students learn about three types of tessellations.
* Once students learn to identify the three types of Tessellations, they follow clearly outlined steps to create their own tessellation.
* The Tessellation is to be colored using colored pencils in order to display in the classroom.
* Next, students answer a series of twelve Analysis Questions relative to their investigation.
* The Tessellation, Analysis Questions, and all required sketches are to be kept in a file folder for use at a later date.
* Answers are provided to analysis questions
* Once Part I is completed, students begin Part II at the next class meeting.
* Students present their findings taking turns in front of the class.
* The presentation requires students to follow specific parameters.
* A rubric is provided in order to measure the quality of student work; students are graded from 1-4
* The lab is quite easily administered and very enjoyable to students and to the teachers. IMO, this is because of the student involvement in the Lab.
* Thank you for stopping by! TpT is my passion!!!
* Enjoy!
