This FREE activity includes a page of basic addition, real-life word problems. These problems are designed primarily for 2nd Grade students, but may also be an effective intervention tool for older students who struggle or need review of basic one, two, and three-digit addition or practice with problem-solving skills. The sheet includes 5 basic addition word problems (no regrouping/carrying), a challenge problem, and one problem that may not require use of the addition operation. It is accompanied by a teacher page that includes an answer key with explanations/solutions. Also available at our TpT store is are packets of similar word problems for practice of both addition and subtraction problem solving.
