Description

This is a fast and simple way to practice measurement with the early learner. I like to start some basic measuring activities in the FALL. Included is measuring my "shoe" and "hand" which I ordinarily use in the SPRING for Spring Assessments. You may want to use them during the beginning of the school year with your All About ME lessons.

You will need a class set of unifix or snap cubes and a set of counting bears. You will also need some common items like paper clips and pennies for some of the measuring activities as well. There is a measure the fire engine and measure the bat to add to your fall themes.

For the 2 Math Mats activities the students will use the snap cubes to measure the 4 items in each picture. They will record how many cubes it took to measure the

item on the recording sheet and color in the matching number of squares.

Thank you for your interest. :)
