Are you looking to teach math patterns to your students? This math number patterns booklet is designed to help your students learn the vocabulary associated with number patterns and to help them apply what they have learned. It is a great reference tool for your students while learning about number patterns.
Concepts introduced in this patterns booklet includes the following:
What is a pattern?
What is the core?
What is an element?
What is an attribute?
Describe a pattern using attributes.
Label a pattern using letters.
What is an increasing pattern? (or what is a growing pattern?)
What is a repeating pattern?
Create your own patterns.
There is an answer key included.
To make the booklets choose the pages you want then copy them, cut the pages in two and staple. Students can complete the page that corresponds to the concept being taught. It would be a great reference tool for your students to refer to when working with describing, extending, and creating patterns.
