Description
Math Practice Lesson/Interactive Activity
PowerPoint slides (7 slides included)
Addition and Subtraction word problems with clipart visuals
Great to use for board math, math talk, etc.
*Teacher suggested activity: Show each slide (using a projector or Smart Board). Read each problem and give time for students to think about the problem. If you have small student whiteboards, have students write out the problem and show how they solved (give them about 5 minutes or less depending on student level). When enough time is given for everyone to try the problem on their own, have students turn and talk to a partner or with a group to discuss their answers. Another option is when enough time is given, have students show their boards to see what everyone has come up with for their answers.
