Math Pro Tips Poster Set – Visual Reminders for Pre-Algebra & Algebra 1 Success
This poster set was born out of real classroom experience—designed during a year I was teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 to students who hadn't mastered some foundational math concepts yet. I found myself repeating the same tips and reminders over and over to help students avoid common mistakes and stay on track with multistep problems.
So, I turned those reminders into visual posters—and the results were incredible. Displaying them in the classroom helped boost student confidence, support concept retention, and ensure that students who may have otherwise fallen behind had a visual anchor to guide their learning.

Why Use These?
Some educators hesitate to use “math tricks” because they want students to understand the why behind the math—and that’s valid. These posters are not a substitute for conceptual understanding. Instead, they’re meant to be used after the concept has been taught and practiced, offering students quick reminders that support their continued growth as they tackle more advanced material.
My students found these tips helpful early in the year, and as their confidence and conceptual understanding grew, they relied on them less and less.
