Description
This unit will help you teach students to predict whether the probability of an event occurring is certain or impossible. They will collect, arrange, record, and use data to predict whether an event is likely or unlikely to happen. Students will also learn to compare an outcome with all of the possible outcomes of an event, to find the probability of an event, and determine whether a game is fair or unfair.
Hands on manipulatives are included in activities such as dice, counters, marbles, their own body and more.
Cross curricular content is also included and students will help Mr. Wolf from Jon Scieska's "The True Story of The Three Little Pigs" change up his menu and determine the newest menu and how likely each animal is to be on Mr. Wolf's plate.
It's a very full unit with 8 lessons, 7 warm-ups, 1 review, and 1 assessment.
