Math Problem Solving Keywords Checkpoint - FREEBIE!!
Share

Description

The vocabulary that goes along with math problem solving can be difficult - in all, decrease, etc. What if something 'falls off the tree' in a word problem? Are we adding or subtracting?

This BOOM Cards FREEBIE will help your students demonstrate understanding of math word problem key words, while allowing you to collect relevant data. Each card presents a key word and operation choices; students click on the operation that must be performed if they came across the given key word in a problem. Use this checkpoint following direct instruction, teletherapy, asynchronous instruction of key words, or as homework! Get the feedback you need from students to continue progress monitoring and data driven instruction!

As a reminder:

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you'll need a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial.

This was a really helpful resource for one of my 6th grade ESY students, during virtual learning. It directly addressed one of her IEP goals, and I found it very helpful. It had direct, simple wording and was very thorough
