This middle school math project can be used to help reinforce the amazing power of exponents (exponential growth) and can be used for Distance Education learning. Students are given a fun math challenge activity which guides their thinking (Reflection Sheet) in understanding how quickly exponential growth increases. There is an answer key provided as well as links to appropriate videos and games on this topic. This math project can be done individually, in pairs or in small group settings. This is a great stand alone activity, a Back to School math activity or a simple introduction to exponential functions.
