Description

Make math FUN with these 2nd grade math riddles and jokes!! This packet is Common Core aligned for 2nd grade but can also be used as remediation or enrichment for 1st or 3rd grade classrooms as well. There are a total of 15 riddles/jokes in this pack. Answer keys are also included!!

Students are presented with a joke and or a riddle and must solve the math problems in order to learn the answers. For example:

Q: I have lots of keys, but I can't open anything. What am I?
A: a piano

Q: What can you serve but never eat?
A: a volleyball

Math with a purpose!! These sheets are great for practicing math skills and demonstrating mastery. My students absolutely LOVE these practice pages. They are great for morning work, centers, or even homework!

The following math skills are covered in this packet:

(2) Two Digit Addition (without regrouping)
(2) Two Digit Addition (with & without regrouping)
(2) Two Digit Subtraction (without regrouping)
(1) Two Digit Mixed Addition & Subtraction (without regrouping)
(2) Adding Tens & Hundreds
