Description

Start the year strong with a daily math routine. Build number sense, practice subitizing, count quantities, practice addition or facilitate math number talk with these crayon themed dot cards. This set includes 36 arrangements of numbers 1-10 to get your students thinking about numbers in many ways.

This resource has 36 total arrangements:

Numbers 1 - 2 have 2 slides each

Number 3 has 3 slides

Numbers 4 - 5 have 4 slides each

Number 6 has 5 slides

Number 7 has 4 slides

Numbers 8 - 9 have 3 slides each

Number 10 has 6 slides

SLIDES (GOOGLE SLIDES)

This is a sample size resource so you can get familiar with my dot cards. The full size resources have slides with arrangements for numbers 1-20. Check out my themed dot cards for all year long in the growing bundle.

I have found that using these slides before my math lesson gets my students’ brains fired up and using math vocabulary.  I hope the same for your students!

Included:

  • 36 dot cards for the numbers 1-10 with animation set up so that when played in present mode the total will appear upon clicking.
  • 36 dot cards (same arrangements as above) for the numbers 1-10 without a total

NOTE: These slides are meant to be used with the Google Slides program, they are not meant for printing.

Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
