The work sections in the sixth grade kit include: Greatest Common Factor and Lowest Common Multiple; Mean, Mode, Median, Range, and Outliers; Simplifying Fractions; Fraction Number Line; Adding, subtracting multiplying, and dividing Fractions; Operations with mixed fractions; Decimal number line; Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals; Converting fractions to decimals; Ratios; Percent's; Decimal, fraction, and percent review chart; Graphs, charts, and plots; Integers number line and comparing integers; Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers; Inequalities; Rates; Exponents; Distributive property; Order of operations; Solving Algebraic equations; Coordinate plane; Graphing systems of inequalities; using the substitution method; Area of rectangles, squares, triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids; and Volume of rectangular and triangular prisms. I would recommend logging the days that need to be completed on a calendar with your child/student to set expectations for your child at the start of the summer.

This educational kit was made with love by a certified Montessori teacher of 18 years. I am certified in Early Childhood Education (preschool and Kindergarten), Elementary Education I (grades 1st to 3rd), and Elementary Education II (grades 4th to 6th). I have worked as a lead teacher in all the above grades, Montessori teacher trainer, dance director, and Parent Education director. I hope you enjoy this kit as much as I enjoyed making it. I created the ABC Crate LLC so that I could share the joys of Montessori lessons and philosophies with all who seek wonderful lessons for their little ones. I have many more kits to come ranging from preschool to middle school. Feel free to drop a note about which lessons you would like sooner. ABC Crates are great for Home School programs, parents seeking support material for the home, and for teachers to use in their classroom. My website is abc-crate.com and my email is abccrate@yahoo.com.

Find the volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths by packing it with unit cubes of the appropriate unit fraction edge lengths, and show that the volume is the same as would be found by multiplying the edge lengths of the prism. Apply the formulas 𝘝 = 𝘭 𝘸 𝘩 and 𝘝 = 𝘣 𝘩 to find volumes of right rectangular prisms with fractional edge lengths in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
