Description
This is a set of 16 math strategy cards.
There are 8 for addition and 8 for subtraction that include:
Count On/Back
Draw a Picture
Ten-Frame
Use a Number Line
Part-Part Whole
Number Bond
Use Counters
Join/Remove Cubes
I print them out double sided on card stock then laminate them and make little "books" using a key ring for each student. Then when we are doing word problems or addition/subtraction they can go through their "book" and choose a strategy to use. I also will flip to a specific strategy for certain students to get them trying other strategies (this also helps wondering eyes if all students are doing different strategies).
Helps to promote independence as well. Also could be used to send home to parents to see the different ways to solve problems.
Enjoy.
