The number one concern that I hear from high school math teachers is that students no longer know how to to effectively, efficiently and routinely study independently. The retention of math knowledge is made by repetition of practice with a focus on vocabulary and procedural practice.
This form that an integration approach of innovative math technology and tried and true paper approaches to studying. Students are required to log minutes on the top - you can feel free to edit the require number of minutes per week.
Students then must choose an approved product that demonstrates comprehension. One - IXL, a school with access to IXL can require students to post screenshot of their progress on a particular IXL math skill to demonstrate growth. Two - Class Notes, students may choose to review their notes, practice an example question and complete a write up of what new learning they have made. Three - Vocabulary, students may choose to review some vocabulary and produce a write up of what new learning they have made.
All three product choices are complete with samples and examples. Teachers may choose to adjust the products, or add to the list.
This would be a great demonstration of student growth to deliver to administration.
