Description
These differentiated TEKS 5.9C task cards are organized into three tiered sets of 10, steadily growing in challenge as students practice solving problems with data. Cards #1-10 start with fundamentals, like identifying the year with the highest rainfall from a bar graph. Cards #11-20 step up the rigor, such as counting how many people aged 35–55 watched a play from a stem-and-leaf plot. Cards #21-30 apply skills to comparisons, for example, finding how many more employees had master’s degrees in 2005 than 1995 from a frequency table.
Gaming Options:
- Graphing and Data Jeopardy: Cards form a board—teams pick (e.g., rainfall years) and score points for right answers.
- Graphing and Data Scavenger Hunt: Hide cards—students hunt and solve (e.g., stem-and-leaf counts) to finish the set.
Components:
- 30 vibrant task cards focused on TEKS 5.9C: solving problems using data from graphs and tables
- Full-page JPGs for Google Classroom, Schoology, Canvas, or your platform, enhancing data lessons
- 2 printable "I Can" labels tied to TEKS 5.9C objectives
- Colorful answer key with a recording sheet for swift grading
- Varied recording sheets—compact for quick checks or detailed for showing work
