Need a way to ensure that students are actively listening and participating in the math talk? Want to make sure your students are thinking and reasoning at a higher level of learning during the math talk?
Use this classroom question set of 18 math talk cards designed around Revised Blooms Taxonomy. Simply print on card stock, cut apart, and pass out one card to each student (or partners) and require that the students ask the question during the discussion. Then after a few questions have been asked and answered by the class, have all students do a quick write in a math journal to summarize what has been said so far to solidify student learning! Continue until all questions have been asked in the whole group math talk!
