I created these 13 sets of Math Task Cards to help my 2nd grade students (at all levels of mathematical ability) work towards the Grade 2 Common Core Standard 2.OA.2: Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.2 By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
These task cards will allow you to easily differentiate for your students! Intentionally target mathematical skills including composing and decomposing numbers, subitizing, and mental math flexibility! Students will gain a deeper conceptual understanding as they practice using number bonds, ten frames, double ten frames, missing addends equations (in all positions), dice, dominoes, tally marks, skip counting, and much more!
