Description

These cards cover number properties: Commutative, Identity, Associative, Distributive and Zero.

You may also like this Distributive Property with Variables Rock, Paper, Scissors Game or if you are working with expressions, these Identifying Parts of an Expression vocabulary task cards.

Task cards can be used in endless ways to mix up your normal routine in the classroom. They encourage student to student collaboration and get kids out of their seats for awhile. Allowing the students to go from one card to another is especially beneficial for accommodating students who need assignments broken into chunks for better focus and those who need frequent breaks or the ability to get up and move around. They are also great for differentiation: choose the cards you find more challenging and assign those numbers to a set group of students.

Instructions are included for how to play scoot or have a scavenger hunt with task cards.

Activity used with MATH LAB/AIS students in small group setting. Made several laminated sets to put in activity basket for students to use again during skill review time, when finished early, or for a substitute day. Prefer activities like this for Lab that allow for movement. This one is ready to print and use. Thank you!
