Description

Math note-taking is so engaging with the math doodle wheel format! Students and teachers find the math wheels to be very helpful for taking notes and practicing concepts.

What is a math doodle wheel?

1) Visual Note-Taking: Combines colors, visuals, and doodles to help students retain concepts.

2) A Comprehensive Study Tool: Use as a year-long reference, study guide, test prep, extra practice, or classroom anchor chart.

3) Engaging and Interactive Resource: Students take notes and practice on a single page for maximum engagement.

  • The math wheels are excellent for introducing or reviewing concepts.
  • Use with whole class or with small groups.
  • You can even enlarge the math wheels and use them as posters or anchor charts!
  • Students complete practice problems found in the pattern around the circle.

Features of these easy-to-use math wheels:

1) THREE levels of notes

2) Sections for Note-Taking: Guided notes make concepts easier to understand.

3) Doodles & Visuals: Incorporate visuals and creative cues.

4) Practice Problems: Reinforce concepts with problems for guided or independent practice.

5) Colorful Backgrounds: Make studying engaging and memorable.

  • Coloring the background does not need to be part of the lesson time; this could be saved for fast finisher or other times.
  • Students could color with patterns or just outline the shapes. They could add other notes and visuals in the background pattern. This space just offers students a chance to add some creativity.

6) Create Your Own: Each math wheel file includes an editable wheel template(s) in PowerPoint, so you can create your own wheels for other topics (non-commercial use only).

  • You could even use these for students to create their own wheels for different topics. (need to save as a PDF to print)
