This is a completely editable word document. This graphic organizer is designed to prompt students to create their own word problems. They first must identify what operation their problem will utilize, which subject their problem will be about (i.e. apples, sports, etc), and which key words they will use in their problem (i.e. total, difference, etc). It then gives them space to write their own word problem and they answer. This is a great activity to help students understand how to solve word problems because they become the author, not the solver. The word document is formatted for half-sheet purposes and can be printed 2 sided for each student to be given 4 boxes for all 4 operations.
