Description

There are 21 word problems here, enough for each school day in September. Each of the problems are multi-step, relevant, and high level. I created this power point of word problems to be used daily in my classroom. Each day I project one word problem, have students solve the problem and discuss their answer with a partner, then I bring up the next slide which shows the answer with the steps to solve shown in red. This way it is a great warm up to math class, but also an opportunity for me to teach word problems daily. You could use this the same way I do or you could print out the slides to make task cards the students might use at learning stations. The answer slides could be printed for self checks. I make sets of word problems for each month of the school year. This set for September focuses on whole numbers and money.
