Description

This is a bundle of my Math Word Problems! It is all of my seasonally themed units and My Common Core Math Word Problem Unit.

These Math Word problems were designed with the Common Core in mind! They were made to use in a first grade classroom, but could also be used in a second grade classroom to help build word problem solving skills! As the seasons progress, the problems use larger numbers.

This set includes 4 formats.

- a problem sheet that they can cut and paste into their own notebook

- a journal you can print for them to work in

- a problem of the day where you work on each problem in a math meeting or calendar time

- a worksheet with four word problems on each for students to solve

Common Core Standards:

First Grade

1.OA.1. Use addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.1

1.OA.2. Solve word problems that call for addition of three whole numbers whose sum is less than or equal to 20, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.

Second Grade

2.OA.1. Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve one- and two-step word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
