Math Works is an independent math station in which students work on concepts from weeks past, to ensure their mastery of the concept.
This is a great product to assess whether or not your students understand the concept you are teaching! They use their knowledge of comparing numbers to decide which box has the number with the greatest value.Students must be careful to notice the algorithm's sign because they are mixed.
Students must then explain why the answer they chose is greater than the other answer. The combination of deciding and explaining allows you, the teacher, to truly know if your students are mastering the concept.
This product includes:
* 4 "Fact"ually Fluent activities
- 2-digit addition and subtraction
- 3-digit addition and subtraction
- 4-digit addition and subtraction

Ways to Use This Product:
Math Stations: I use this product as an independent math center called “Math Works.” You can laminate the desired sheet and the answer key. After finishing the activity your students can check their own work, or have a partner check it. Great the week or two after teaching this concept for a refresher.
Classwork: I use this product sometimes as an independent math center called “Math By Myself.” In this center you copy the desired sheet for a grade. This is a great formative assessment.
