Description
In order to get students to use good math vocabulary and to help students verbalize how they "do math," Math Talks have shown to be very effective. These are simple problems that students work mentally. Then they share their method with the class. It is best for the teacher to write those on the board/poster, with the child's name, to give a visual representation and to give significance to each child and their mental process.
