If you use Mathematics in Focus in Kindergarten, this is just what you need. This 17 page SMART Notebook file is intended to be used as a supplement to compliment the materials provided with the program. I have found that the program does not provide students with enough opportunities to practice each skill. This classroom learning experience is structured according to the program’s Investigate–Discover– Explore–Apply format. This is clearly indicated at the top of each slide to help to seamlessly integrate it with the program’s materials. Additionally, there are many interactive activities and interesting graphics to increase student engagement.

This lesson begins with the learning objectives as outlined by the program, followed by skill review, direct instruction pages, and a significant amount of concept development pages to provide students with additional practice as a whole group before applying each skill on their own.

I referred to the teacher edition scripts, lesson sequence/activities to create this interactive experience so that all you have to do is turn on your SMART board and do what you do best! I will continue to post lessons as they are created.
